Pies That Need Lots Of Water

Merlion Wayfarer was recently at Telok Ayer Street and decided to drop by Don’s original outlet near China Square Central. Despite going past many times, she had not bought anything from there due to the steep prices. So she decided to venture today to not just go in, but go in and buy some pies.

Array of pies on sale on display....

The Signature Chicken Pie that Merlion Wayfarer bought. At S$4.60 per pie for what other confectionaries sell at $2, the price was quite steep...

Merlion Wayfarer also extended her adventure to a Chicken Shepherd Pie at S$5.80. Ingredients within included mainly potato (More than 60% of the pie), chicken breast meat (A bit tough!), corn, something orangey (Carrot? Pumpkin? Sweet potato?), and lots of pepper (Too strong!)...

In the end, Merlion Wayfarer had to drink lots of water to remove the over-strong peppery taste...
