Refresh To The World Of Tea At The Singapore Tea Festival 2019
Before Merlion Wayfarer attended the Singapore Tea Festival, all she knew about tea was just tea leaves. However this weekend's Singapore Tea Festival changed all that.
The festival, organised by local tea technology company Teapasar, is now in its third year. Consisting of 55 booths selling over 1,200 products, the three-day event is held at Jewel Atrium, Changi Airport.

Or try out their cold brew fruit tea...
Asmara, a Singapore-based nutrition company started by two food scientists and modern day apothecarists, retails its brand of drinks blended with ginseng, bird's nest, french rose and lavender...

Based in Singapore, teapasar is the first global tea marketplace, featuring local and international tea brands, as well as exclusive and rare tea direct from farms. teapasar is powered by a metabolomic fingerprinting and taste mapping technology - ProfilePrint.
By scanning tea leaves to create a fingerprint unique to each tea, teapasar is able to generate its respective taste profile, which allows for taste matching between consumers’ taste preferences and the profiles of every tea on the teapasar database. Discover your perfect blend, and more confidently purchase teas online before even tasting or smelling it.
Café & Meal Muji At Jewel Changi Airport - Wholesome Yet Delicious
In Singapore’s fast paced environment, it is necessary to encourage the choice of a well-balanced, healthy meal. Café&Meal MUJI Singapore is dedicated to providing a selection of dishes made with these in mind - simplicity, quality, original, healthy and natural.
We tried out the exclusively Jewel set. The Jewel set consists of a main and two sides for a wholesome delicious meal. Sides seen here include Hokkaido Char Siew with Grilled Vegetables and Roasted Plum, Lime Dill Octopus Summer Stone Fruit Salad, Thick Omelette with Japanese-style Mushroom, Orecchiette Pasta and Mushroom Salad in Truffle Ranch Dressing.
True to its philosophy of 素の食 (su no shoku), Muji's taste is simple and uncomplicated yet surprisingly tasty with a hint of the freshness behind its wholesome ingredients.
Highly-enjoyable are the sweet Strawberry Fraisier (S$7.90), laced with a tinge mild Strawberry sourness to even out the taste, and the powerfully zesty Triple Berries and Apple Smoothie ($7.90) which packs refreshing oomph to up your energy level.

One of Samsonite's latest adverts at the airport. Food for thought : Have you been listening to your inner voice? Following your heart? Embracing every possibility?

Donut In Cosy Setting
Dunkin Donuts
Changi Airport T3

Although there were a wide variety of donuts to choose from on the menu, those on the display shelf were a lot fewer. Service was ok at the counter but a little slow in the clearing of tables after customers left.
Merlion Wayfarer opted for a sugar-coated donut. The bread is soft and the apple filling is ample. Definitely worth the S$1.60 price tag. Paired with a latte in a cosy setting, it's a good buy for a short break from the hectic lifestyle.

Itacho Sushi

Merlion Wayfarer thought that she finally found an Itacho sushi outlet that is not crowded, no queue at all, to be exact. When she ordered her food there, she found out why.
Sushi platter consisting of Smoked Salmon, Botan Shrimp, Roast Duck. The price of each ranges from S$1.20 to S$2.

Merlion Wayfarer was surprised to see her sushi disintegrate when she picked it up. It is really very bad skill for nigiri sushi to disintegrate even before it is being picked up.
In addition, as she was sitting near the counter, she heard about sushi being returned. Luckily, she survived diarrhoea-less this round!
